Hello everyone, today I going to talk about what advice would I give a high school student who is about to go to college.

Well, in my case, I had very problem when I started to go to college because we were in pandemic. I kwon than your can understand me. The virtual classes are so complex because all in our around is a distraction (like the cellphone, the noise from outside or, in my case, my little nieces). Paying attention in these classes is hard like understand all the content of the course apart, my internet was so slow or simply is going. For all this case, I have adapted my style study to my house, but this is very difficult because, in my opinion, my house is the place where I can relax of everything and anything not a place to study the great part of my time.

For this case and more, the advice would I give a high school student who is about to go to college is “you must be you ready for all in this place. Everything what happening in Chile, your house or with your friends, can trigger a stress in your body and mind. You need take this new step in your life with calm and responsibility, the college is more than just studying all day and night, it’s a beautiful new part for start your future as a worker and person”

Well, this is my advice would I give a high school student, but my question is, what is your advice for this student? And why? Leave your comment and I hope that do you have a good day!

  1. Hello, your advice is really helpful, you should always take into account your mental and physical health but especially in the stressful moments that you will find in the university (from which you cannot go back) and learn how to manage them, give yourself the time to experiment university beyond academic experiences (meeting all kinds of people, living new experiences, learning new languages, etc.) and taking it easy.

  2. Hi! you gave very good advice, most young people think that college means only studying, passing exams and getting a degree. I think that mentality originates the fear of many for college, that mentality makes us doubt our ability to face this new stage, I think there is a big difference between studying for pressure and studying for love.

  3. Hello, I agree with you, in the university you have to be prepared for any unforeseen event that may affect us. We must always think that our mental health is just as important as our academic performance, which is why we must be able to adapt to any situation.

  5. I felt the same as you when I entered university, everything was a distraction and my house was too comfortable. There were times when I didn't go to class because my bed was warm and more comfortable. Returning to face-to-face training helped me a lot to stop being so comfortable.
